Obituary

John Orrin Gillespie, 84, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2022. John was preceded in death by his parents Lacy and Anna Gillespie; first wife, Deena Hawes; daughter, Angela Brown; and five siblings.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Judy Gillespie ; Daughter, Josie Nelms (Travis); Two Sons, Winton Gillespie, Carey Gillespie; Two Step-daughters, Susan Williams, Angela Davis (Tim); step-son, Terry Barksdale; Eight Granddaughters, Autumn Nelms, Abby Nelms, Carly Gillespie, Amanda Brown, Kristen Jenkins (Kristine), Jessica St Clair (Pete), Samantha Castelow, Ashley Whitten (James); Six Great-granddaughters, Summer Harwood, Myleigh Harwood, Leah St Clair, Amelia Whitten, Emberlynn Davis, Makenzie Barksdale; Four Grandsons, David Hester, Jr., Nicholas Castelow, Timothy Davis, Jr. (Jennifer), Josh Barksdale; Two Great-grandsons, Adam St Clair, Mason Whitten; Niece, Cardean Gilley; Brother, Dale Gillespie; Sister, Gayle Uhl.   A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11a.m. at Berean Baptist Church, 2914 Cogbill Road, Richmond, VA 23234.
