Obituary
Joseph Gilliland, 72, of North Chesterfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was born on March 18, 1952 to the late Sherwood and Joyce Gilliland. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Sherwood “Butch” Gilliland, Jr. and Giggie Gilliland. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Misty Gilliland; devoted friend, Linda Perritt; and beloved numerous family members and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or The American Diabetes Foundation.

Still so hard to believe that Joe is gone. He’s been such a presence here at Ruan since I started here 36 years ago and so many little things will always remind me of him. My condolences to Misty and all the family and friends.
