Obituary

Fry, Kenneth Andrew, 80, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2009. He was known as “Pop” by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Virginia Fry; daughters and sons-in-law, Millie and Ronnie Oxendine, Sandra and Buck Lindsey, and Peggy Fry; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ida Osborne, Virginia and Lloyd Bufford, and Betty and Wayne Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Joyce Fry, Archie and Ann Fry; grandchildren, Brian Johnston, Tiffany Lindsey, Trey and Drew Nicholson; great-granddaughter, Kyllie Nicholson. He was predeceased by his brother, Holiday Fry, and a grandson, Brandon Johnston. Kenneth served in the US Army. He was an avid supporter of the local schools and sports programs in Chesterfield County, and was Grandfather of the Year at Hening Elementary School. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
