Obituary

Kenneth Lee Burton, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2022. He was born December 28, 1925 to William H. Burton, Jr. and Elizabeth D. (Glass) Burton. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Christine Burton; daughter, Delores Smith; parents, William and Elizabeth Burton; and siblings, Jean, Shirley, Thomas, James, and Baby Burton. Left to cherish his memory include his children, Charles Burton (Georgia), Wayne Burton, and Timothy Burton (Karen); grandchildren, Tommy, Kenny, Billy, Kim, Tammy, Kayla (Jared), and Alli (Holly); and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid as an anti-aircraft gunner. He had a long career in crane maintenance and enjoyed mechanic work and woodworking hobbies. Kenneth was also a dedicated church member at Heritage Baptist Church. A graveside service will take place Friday, December 2nd at 1PM at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
