Obituary
Lauretta F. Hassell, 75, of N. Chesterfield, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Caleb S. Hassell, Sr.; mother of Juanita H. Faithful and Caleb S. Hassell, Jr. (Kathy); grandchildren Daniele Davis, Toni Klee, Jonathan Jefferson, Sterling Hassell, Crystal Hassell, and Kristyn Faithful. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and sisters Ester Morrow and Ann Morris. A devoted and loving wife, mama, and nana. A woman who loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind. Someone who lived her life with great faith during the best and worst of times. A joyful giver of, not only her time, but of her many talents. An amazing encourager and friend, always willing to lend a listening ear. She was always ready and willing to give you her best advice, even if it wasn’t something you wanted to hear. A stranger she had never met; if she met you, she loved you. A crafty and creative lover of all things sparkly, Christmas, and crafts. Everything was done out of love. She always wanted to make sure other people felt loved and accepted. She certainly lived out 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Let everything you do be done in love.” She will be sincerely and abundantly missed by many. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Life Church, 16801 Harrowgate Rd. Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment to follow at 3:00 pm at Washington Memorial Park.

My sister-in-law was a Special Woman who loved God and her family. She told great stories, was funny and a joy to be around. She left a family who loved her more than words can describe. We enjoyed all the times we have spent with her recently and over the years. God took her way too soon. She will be dearly missed. Praying for my brother and all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, that they will find comfort in all the good times they had with her.

Aunt Lolly was one of a kind…even though the families didn’t get together as much as they use too, she & Uncle Caleb would always take time to check on mom. She will truly be missed. Thoughts, Prayers and Love to Uncle Caleb, CS & Juanita.
