Obituary

Linda J. Bass passed away July 29, 2023. She was born September 8, 1948 to Walter Montell Jackson and Doris Gay Pomfrey in Virginia. She attended Manchester High School and went on to become a beautician. She married the love of her life, James Bass III on January 31, 1971 and they were married for 52 years. She loved her family – especially her nieces, nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She also loved birds, her cats, flowers, and her bowling girls. She loved to tell a good joke and make everyone around her laugh.

 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Doris Jackson. Left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Bass III; sisters, Ann Clarke (Butch) and Bonnie Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

 

A visitation will take place from 10am-11am on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, N. Chesterfield, with a service to follow at 11am. Burial will follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the SPCA.
