Obituary

Eastwood, Linda Lawson, 62, was called to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2007. Born March 21, 1945, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Frank B. Eastwood; daughter, Pamela Eastwood Booth and her husband, Timothy; two cherished grandsons, Zachary Scott and Jordan Christopher Booth; sisters, Eunice Peatross (Bobby) of King William, Kaye Seay (Wayne) of Hanover; brothers, Carson Lawson (Charlotte), Harold Lawson (Barbara), Ray Lawson (Rene), Jeff Lawson (Debbie), Jerry Lawson (Pat); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. Linda was the first of her family to leave Southwest Virginia to live in Richmond at the age of 18. She was a retired employee of Ukrop’s Supermarkets where she dedicated over 20 years of loyal service. Linda was a strong, independent woman who believed in working hard and enjoying life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will be held 1 pm Sunday at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 7110 Woodpecker Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23838. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Linda’s memory to the VCU Massey Cancer Center, P.O. Box 980037, Richmond, VA 23298-0037 to further the advancement of breast cancer research.
