Obituary

Moore, Louise Wilbourne, 78, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009, in her home in Richmond. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Raymond E. Moore; three sons, Cleveland Bo Martin, Jr., Kirt Martin, Sr., and Jimmy Moore and their families; step-daughter, Nin Elkins; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie W. McKay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Minnie Wilbourne, granddaughter, Patricia Martin, and a step-son, Ronnie Moore. She was a life-long member of Kingsland Baptist Church and was a former employee of Honeywell International and worked at Chester Hoist and Crane for over 10 years. Louise received an associate’s degree in accounting from John Tyler Community College, belonged to the Women’s Bowling League at Holiday Bowl, and served on many committees during her children’s school years. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

  1. To the Moore Family:I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Loved One. Keep all of the good memories of her alive. I found that prayer is essential. So pray regular for Jehovah God’s Holy Spirit to comfort you doing this time of sorrow. He is the Hearer of prayer & He cares about you. I will keep you Family in my prayers, also.
