Obituary

Mamie Hunt Williams, 87, of N. Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, W. Vernon Williams both from Halifax County, VA; parents, Harold and Mamie Bass Hunt; and grandsons, Jacob Evans and Scott Brooks. Mother of Richard Keith Williams and Kenneth Lee Williams (Elaina); special aunt of Brenda Williams Inge (Tim); grandmother of Bryan Shull, Sean Bair (Nicole), Jeremy Williams (Mackenzie), Matthew, Angel, and Abby Williams; great-grandmother of Skyler (Brittany), Kaylee, Kelly, Colton, Luke, and Xander; sister of Frances Williams; cousin of Julia Spielman, Lucy Nichols (Green), Linda Bowman Everett (Bill) and Etha Bowman Bitterman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family would like to express appreciation to Wayne and JoAnn Johnson and Laura and Juanita from Hospice of Virginia for their special care provided to our mom.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, December 1^st at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Mamie’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior on Friday, December 2 at the Morrissett Chapel. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Union Baptist Church, 22110 Genito Rd., Amelia Courthouse, Amelia, VA 23002 or to a charity of your choice.
