Obituary
Robert A. McNeil, Sr., 73, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. “He is gone but not forgotten.” He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruth A. McNeil; children, Rhonda M. Wilson (Anthony), Rebecca A. Colbeth (Christopher), Richard A. McNeil (Ashley); sister, Patricia Butler (Michael); granddaughters, Amanda A. Prohaska (Ben), Whitney R. Degross (Aaron), Emily A. McNeil, Libby A. McNeil; grandsons, Tyler A. McNeil (Kayla Thompson), Mason A. McNeil, Caleb A. McNeil; great-grandsons, Elijah Packer, Amory Packer, Carter Degross; great-granddaughters, Blair Degross, June M. McNeil; god daughter, Elizabeth Scribner; special friend, Sharon Carroll. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Allen McNeil, Jr.; parents, Phyllis and Darius McNeil. Robert was a George Wythe High graduate and attended the University of Maryland. He retired from CSX Railroad then worked for Southside Virginia Auto Auction. His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Chester Church of God. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Virginia, 3212 Skipwith Rd., Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23294 or Chester Church of God, 4700 Lee Street, Chester, VA 23831.

Dear Family – Becky! I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad! You have my deepest sympathy. It is always hard to lose a parent. Look for signs of him. He is around.
