Obituary

Thomas Arnold Hill Jr., affectionately known as Tom Tommy Fatz T, was born November 24, 1973 in Arlington, Virginia to Josephine Vaughter Hill and the late Thomas Arnold Hill Sr. He is a graduate of New Kent County High School, class of 1991. In high school, he played tennis and JV football. Growing up, Thomas had a fascination with tinkering and how things work. He would take things apart and put them back together, regardless of whether they worked or not afterwards. He loved toys; cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Tommy also liked golf, video games, and all kinds of movies. Upon graduation, he pursued his dream of being a truck driver by attending trucking school in Ohio. Over the years, Thomas has logged many miles, driven various kinds of trucks, and traveled through the fifty states and Mexico. The Lord blessed Thomas to have his very own truck and become an owner-operator. Being a truck driver allowed him the opportunity to meet new people. Two of his trucking brothers, just to mention a few, were Gary Tracy of South Carolina and Robert Rosales of Georgia. Thomas was a kind, generous man who didn’t mind helping those around him. He also was a person that loved knowledge and, if he knew something, he would share it and even debate with you at times. Thomas accepted Christ at an early age. His spiritual journey included Mount Calvary Church International, formerly Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Apostle Raymond Otey; Broken Bread Ministries under the pastorate of Pastor Geneva Alston; and New Covenant Community Church under Pastor Milton Hathaway. A few years ago, Thomas was invited by his good friend JT Minor to The Word Church International Ministries. He loved attending service and the teaching style of Pastor Robert Scarborough. He used to say the word of truth came alive. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Arnold Hill Sr.; two loving leading ladies in his life, Mrs. Regener Collins of New Kent and Cousin Virginia Arnold Perry of New Jersey. Cherishing his memory are his loving mother Josephine Hill; sister Elicia Vaughter Brunson (late Robert Brunson Jr.); niece Brittney; nephews Brandon (Veridiana), Benjamin, and Robert III; aunts Joyce, Gloria, Gertie, and Patty; uncles William, Richard, Charles, Vernon, and Francis; a host of cousins and other relatives and
