Obituary

Virginia Mae Stafford, 94, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Walter; son, W. Wayne; grandson, Ronnie; son-in-law, John Dyson. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Dyson, Brenda and Ralph Hartman; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Karin Stafford, Glen and Nadine Stafford, Adrian and Debbie Stafford; daughter-in-law, Nancy Stafford; 24 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stafford retired from Chesterfield County Food Service after 23 years. She was well known for her hot rolls and homemade bread. Mae was a devoted lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road. There will be a visitation at 10 am with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Meadowbrook Ward Building, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3541 Cogbill Road. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
