Obituary

Wavie Howard Lindsay, 96, of North Chesterfield, widow of Roy Elliot Lindsay, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Friday, February, 25, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Reuben and Estelle Howard. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Rangley, William and Rudolph Howard; 2 sisters, Adeline Harvey and Margie Webb; 2 grandsons, Eddie and Michael Johnston. Wavie is survived by her children, Priscilla Johnston, Roy Lindsay, Jr (Nancy), Martin Lindsay (Denise) and Robin Rudd; brother, Haram Jefferson Howard (Kay) and sister, Lily Mae Hines; 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends on March 8, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd (Rte 10). Her funeral ceremony will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Final rest will be in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Gods Storehouse Baptist Church, 5007 Jessup Rd, North Chesterfield VA 23234 where she was a charter member.
