Obituary

Cook, William Edward Ed, Sr., 92, of Chesterfield, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glennis K. Cook. Ed grew up in the Manchester district of Richmond. He was a retired real estate appraiser. Ed was a member of Masonic Lodge #161, the Acca Patrol; and the John Marshall Cadet Corps. He is survived by a daughter, Christy Deonanan (Jason); three sons, William E. “Bill” Cook, Jr. (Sandra), Robert E. “Bob” Cook (Clair), Thomas M. “Tom” Cook (Gretchen); six grandchildren, Patrick Cook, Scott Cook (Stephanie), Tanya Elliott (Ben), Brandi Higgenbottom (Robbie), Garrett Cook (April), Harry Sheffield (Stephanie); seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 4 to 6:00 pm, with a Masonic service at 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2021, at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), Richmond, where funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday. Interment will follow in Maury Cemetery, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
